| Obverse description | Facing archaic head of Aphrodite rendered in the Sicilian die-engraving tradition, depicted full-face within a plain field. The goddess's hair is elaborately dressed with large rounded locks arranged symmetrically about the temples, falling to either side of the face in a style characteristic of late-archaic Sicilian coinage. The facial features display the transitional archaic-to-early-classical style, with almond-shaped eyes, a subtly modeled nose, and a slight archaic smile. No legend or inscription appears on the obverse. |

| Reverse description | The river-god Krimisos, local deity of Eryx, depicted in his epichoric form as a hunting dog standing right, his head turned back to the left in a alert posture. The figure is rendered with careful attention to musculature and canine anatomy, consistent with the fine miniature engraving tradition of Sicilian silver coinage of this period. The ethnic legend ERYKINON in Greek characters is disposed around the field, identifying the issuing community of Eryx on the slopes of Monte San Giuliano in northwestern Sicily. |
