Reverse description The enthroned personification of Constantinopolis seated facing, her head turned to the right, depicted in regal attire with a crested helmet, holding a long spear in the right hand and a plain globus in the left. The figure is rendered in a formal, hieratic manner typical of Antiochene mint production under Justin II. The exergue carries the mint mark OB flanked by star-cross-star devices, identifying the issue as a light solidus of 22 siliquae struck at the Theoupolis (Antioch) mint. The reverse legend encircles the field within a beaded border.
