| Beschrijving voorzijde | A large cross pattée is displayed prominently at the center of the coin, dividing the field into four quadrants. A beaded inner circle frames the cross, with the circular Latin legend KAROLVS FRAn REX running along the outer periphery between two beaded borders. The hammered fabric results in a slightly irregular flan, typical of late 15th-century French billon coinage. The lettering is rendered in Gothic uncial characters consistent with the period. |
