| Obverse description | Central field features a large crowned gothic capital 'M' monogram, the initial of Anne-Marie-Louise d'Orléans, flanked on either side by a fleur-de-lis and surmounted by a princely crown. Four lozenge-shaped ornaments fill the quadrants between the fleurs-de-lis and the monogram, lending a heraldic symmetry to the composition. The entire central device is enclosed within a plain inner circle, with the circumferential legend running along the coin's irregular periphery in Latin capital letters. |

| Reverse description | Central field displays a decorative eight-petalled floral cross, rendered in a stylized ornamental fashion with broad, rounded petals radiating symmetrically from a small central boss, set within a plain inner circle. The motif is characteristic of the feudal coinage of Dombes and lends an elegant, naturalistic quality to this otherwise modest billon issue. The circumferential Latin legend, interrupted by a floral stop, runs around the outer border and incorporates the date 1669, with lettering in Roman capitals. |
