The central cross is richly ornamented with fleur-de-lis-style finials at each arm, and the overall composition reflects the refined Gothic decorative idiom of the late 14th-century Low Countries. A circular legend in uncial characters runs within the outer beaded border, declaring this a new coinage of Brabant and Flanders. |
