Reverse description Four lines of bold Arabic calligraphic text fill the central field, presenting the imperial Ottoman titulature of Sultan Abdülhamid I. The legend reads 'Sultan of the Two Lands / Khagan of the Two Seas / The Sultan son of / The Sultan,' affirming the sovereign's dominion over land and sea. Small diamond-shaped or lozenge ornaments are interspersed between the lines as decorative separators. The legends are deeply struck in a robust, angular hand characteristic of late 18th-century Ottoman coinage. The design is framed by the same cable inner border and toothed outer rim as the obverse.
