Beschrijving voorzijde Effigy of the Tsar rendered as an armored horseman (konnik) mounted on a galloping horse facing right, lance couched and directed forward in the characteristic Russian wire money style. The design is struck in high relief on an irregular planchet, with the abbreviated mint mark letters 'o M' (Moscow Mint) appearing beneath the horse's hooves. The image is characteristic of the traditional Russian kopeck type introduced under Ivan the Terrible and continued under subsequent Romanov rulers. The crude, bold style reflects the hammered wire-money production technique of the period.

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse bears a multi-line Cyrillic inscription filling the entire irregular field of the coin, arranged in horizontal lines conforming to the oblong shape of the planchet. The text presents the full titulature of Tsar Mikhail Fyodorovich in abbreviated form, as was standard for wire kopecks of this period. The boldly struck Cyrillic letters are typical of Moscow Mint production of the 1630s–1640s, with characteristic abbreviations due to the limited flan size. No border or decorative framing elements are present, the inscription occupying the full available surface.
