| Beschrijving keerzijde | Hammered reverse field densely filled with multi-line Arabic legends disposed in horizontal registers across the flan. The inscription references the mint of Sistan (Sijistan) and contains pious formulae or titles consistent with Later Saffarid jital coinage as catalogued by Tye. The calligraphy is executed in a compressed Kufic-influenced style, with individual letterforms boldly raised against the flat field. The flan is irregular and slightly chipped at the rim, as is typical of hand-struck billon issues of this region and period. |
