| Obverse description | Central field depicts a bull (nandi) in profile facing right, rendered in a stylized, somewhat crude manner typical of early Delhi Sultanate hammered coinage. Above the bull, a row of three vertical strokes or decorative elements appears within an inner circle. A marginal Arabic legend encircles the central device, reading the sultan's honorific titles. The flan is irregular with slightly ragged edges, characteristic of hand-struck billon jitals of the period. |
