| Obverse description | A bull standing left in the central field, accompanied by three pellets; a single unread letter is enclosed within a square at center. A Nagari legend reading 'Sri Samanta Deva' appears above the bull. The entire design is contained within a beaded border. The style reflects the continuation of the pre-Islamic Hindu Shahiya bull-and-horseman coinage tradition adapted by the Ghaznavid minters. |

| Reverse description | A four-line Arabic legend occupies the central field, reading 'Baha / as-sultan / al-a`zam / malik-Arslan', proclaiming the glory and titles of Sultan Arslanshah. The inscription is boldly struck in raised relief in the characteristic angular Kufic style typical of Ghaznavid hammered coinage. The legend is enclosed within a dotted border encircling the entire reverse. The flan is irregular, as is characteristic of hammered jitals of this series. |
