| 正面铭文 | BENEDICTO DOMINI DIVITES FACIT / 1655 |
| 背面描述 | This side presents the reverse of the host Norwegian Speciedaler, which would typically bear the effigy or armorial bearings associated with the Norwegian-Danish crown. As a counterstamped host coin, the original reverse design remains visible beneath the applied Russian impressions. The fields show natural wear and the characteristic surface distortion resulting from the application of the Russian counterstamps on the obverse, consistent with the jefimok overstamping procedure of 1655. |

In 1654, facing a chronic shortage of silver bullion, the Russian treasury began countermarking foreign thalers already in circulation — primarily Joachimstalers, Leeuwendaalders, and Dutch rijksdaalders — with Cyrillic stamps to legitimize them as Russian currency at a fixed rate. This particular host coin, a Norwegian Speciedaler, is among the less common base types encountered in the Jefimok series; most surviving examples rest on Dutch or German hosts.
The countermarking program collapsed within a year, undone by the simultaneous introduction of copper kopecks at silver parity — a decision that triggered the Copper Riot of 1662.
