The surrounding legend reads BENEDICTO DOMINI DIVITES FACIT in Latin. Two Russian counterstamps are applied: one bearing the date 1655 in Cyrillic numerals, and another depicting a mounted horseman (the so-called 'jezdets') with a raised spear — the hallmark impressions of Tsar Alexey Mikhailovich's monetary reform authorizing foreign talers for domestic circulation. |
