| Reverse description | Central field displays the abbreviated name of Queen Tamar rendered in Asomtavruli script, encircled by four heart-shaped rosettes that subdivide the surrounding area into eight outfields, each filled with Asomtavruli lettering comprising a devotional legend invoking divine exaltation of the king and queen. The four rosettes are evenly spaced, creating a balanced, cross-like arrangement around the central royal monogram. The design reflects the dual-authority coinage issued during the co-regency of George III and his daughter Tamar. The flan is irregular, consistent with the hammered technique standard to medieval Georgian copper issues. |
