| Obverse lettering | الملوك Ⴃ ملك (Translation: Of kings D King) |
| Reverse description | Two lines of Arabic script occupy the central field, enclosed within a plain inner circle, with a surrounding peripheral border of Kufic script that is largely illegible owing to the coarse hammered strike and irregular flan. The inscription names the Seljuk sultan Mahmud, son of Muhammad, reflecting the political context of Georgian coinage of this period which retained Seljuk titular formulae. |
