Larissa Phrikonis was a minor Thessalian city whose independent bronze coinage was issued during a period when the region's internal politics were dominated by the dynastic struggles of the Aleuadae and Scopadae families. The city's issues are rare enough that die linkages across surviving specimens remain incompletely catalogued.
