The facial features are rendered with characteristic early Classical simplicity, with a prominent eye and strong jawline. The helmet crest rises prominently above the head, its incised striations suggesting individual plumes or a horsehair crest. To the right of the head, a small boar's head is visible in profile, serving as an additional civic emblem of Methymna.
