Reverse description A grasshopper depicted in profile facing right, rendered with careful attention to the segmented body, folded wings, and prominent hind legs, serving as the civic badge of Idyma. Portions of the ethnic inscription [Ι]-Δ-Υ[Μ] ΙΟΝ appear distributed around the type in the field, partially visible due to the small flan. The engraving is crisp and typical of Carian mint production of the late fifth century BC.
