The wreath forms a neat border around the inscription, a standard compositional device on Sicilian bronze coinage of the Hellenistic period. The reverse lettering reads ΣΟΛΟΝ-ΤΙΝΩΝ in Greek characters, identifying the issuer as the community of Solontion. The overall style and execution are consistent with provincial Sicilian bronze coinage of the late third to early second century BC. |
