| Obverse description | Draped bust of Athena facing right, wearing a Corinthian-style helmet pushed back on the head, depicted in profile with fine archaic-influenced modeling. The helmet bowl is clearly articulated, covering the crown, with the cheekpieces framing the goddess's facial features. The bust is rendered in a relatively high relief characteristic of Sicilian bronze coinage of the Hellenistic period. The field surrounding the bust is plain and unadorned. |

| Reverse description | The ethnic legend of the issuing community inscribed in two lines across the central field, enclosed within a circular laurel wreath composed of carefully rendered leaves and berries. The wreath forms a neat border around the inscription, a standard compositional device on Sicilian bronze coinage of the Hellenistic period. The reverse lettering reads ΣΟΛΟΝ-ΤΙΝΩΝ in Greek characters, identifying the issuer as the community of Solontion. The overall style and execution are consistent with provincial Sicilian bronze coinage of the late third to early second century BC. |
