Obverse description Bare head of a youthful male figure facing right, rendered in fine archaic-to-classical Greek style, with closely cropped curling hair restrained by a tainia (fillet) bound across the forehead. The hair is depicted in naturalistic wavy locks above and behind the ear, and the facial features — including a well-defined profile with a straight nose and slightly parted lips — display the accomplished die-cutting characteristic of Lesbian coinage. The field is plain and unlettered.
