Reverse description A large archaic digamma (Ϝ), the initial letter of the city name Stratos (Ϝτράτος) in early Greek script, prominently displayed in raised relief at center within a shallow square incuse. The incuse square has slightly rounded corners and occupies nearly the full flan, a hallmark of early Greek coinage technique. The field within the incuse is smooth and unadorned save for the single letter.
