The modelling of the facial features is sensitive and assured, characteristic of Thessalian die-cutting of the mid-fourth century BC. |

| 背面描述 | A horse standing to the right in the act of kneeling or preparing to lie down, its forelegs bent beneath its body, rendered with vigorous plasticity typical of Thessalian coinage. The inscription ΤΩΝΙΩΝ is disposed above the horse's back in the upper field, and ΓΥΡ appears below in the exergual area, serving as the ethnic abbreviation for Gyrton. The irregular flan shows the characteristic broad, flat fabric of Thessalian silver hemidrachms of this period. |
