| Descripción del reverso | A labrys (double-headed axe), the sacred symbol of Zeus, depicted upright and centrally positioned within a linear square incuse punch. The handle of the labrys extends downward to the base of the incuse, with the double blade clearly delineated at the top. The ethnic legend TENEDION is inscribed in retrograde archaic Greek characters arranged around the axe within the incuse field, reading partially on the left and right sides. The incuse square has a beaded border on at least one side, and the overall composition is characteristic of early Archaic Greek coin engraving. |
