| Obverse description | Archaic janiform conjoined busts facing left and right, depicting a bearded male head and a female head sharing a common neck, rendered in the archaic style characteristic of late 6th-century Greek coinage. Both faces display stylized features with almond-shaped eyes and dotted polos headdress above, typical of the island's distinctive early coinage type. The double-headed motif is a hallmark emblem of Tenedos, referencing its mythological associations. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, with the relief bold and well-centered. |
