Obverse description The distinctive Boeotian shield rendered in high relief, filling the field and depicted frontally with its characteristic curved cutouts on either side. The convex boss of the shield dominates the design, exhibiting the typical ovoid form associated with Boeotian military equipment. The incuse border frames the device, and the irregular flan surface reflects standard hammered production technique of the period.
