Beschrijving voorzijde Facing gorgoneion (Gorgon mask) depicted full face, centrally positioned within the field, rendered in archaic style characteristic of early fifth-century BC Lesbian electrum coinage. The visage displays wide-set eyes, a broad flat nose, and a grimacing mouth with prominent teeth and protruding tongue, surrounded by a mass of writhing serpents framing the face in lieu of hair. The bold, high-relief modeling gives the apotropaic image a commanding presence despite the small flan, with serpentine coils extending toward the periphery of the coin.

Beschrijving keerzijde Facing gorgoneion rendered in lower relief than the obverse, occupying the full field of the irregular flan. The mask displays the characteristic archaic features — wide almond-shaped eyes, a broad nose, and a partially open mouth — surrounded by a wreath-like border of beaded or dotted ornament around the cranium. The reverse type mirrors the obverse in iconographic program, a convention well attested on Lesbian electrum hektai of this period, with the entire design contained within a shallow incuse square produced by the hammer blow of the reverse die.
