The date is divided to either side of the monogram, with 17 to the left and 09 (or relevant year) to the right. Below the monogram, within a cartouche, appears the denomination 2/3, flanked by the mintmaster's initials EP and H. The mintmark S (for Leipzig) appears at the bottom of the field. The circular legend MONETA SAXONICA runs around the periphery, separated by small floral stops, within a toothed border. |
