| Obverse description | Central design features a large, ornate royal crown occupying the upper half of the coin's field, rendered in fine relief with elaborate arched and foliate decoration and a beaded inner band. Two small rosette or cinquefoil ornaments flank the crown at mid-field. Below the crown, the royal legend is inscribed in three lines across the field in bold Latin characters: SIG: III: D: G / REX: POL / M: D: L, abbreviating Sigismund III, by the Grace of God, King of Poland, Grand Duke of Lithuania. The entire design is enclosed within a continuous beaded border. |
