Obverse description Crowned draped bust of Sigismund III Vasa facing right, wearing a ruff collar and royal crown, set within a beaded inner circle. The effigy displays fine detail in the drapery and crown ornamentation typical of early seventeenth-century Polish coinage. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait, reading clockwise from upper right. The portrait is rendered in the baroque style characteristic of the Gdańsk mint workshop of this period.
