Reverse description Central field displays a pattée cross inscribed within a plain circle, its four arms expanding outward to nearly fill the inner roundel, a design type inherited from the Genoese grosso tradition. The cross is boldly struck with concave curvature between the arms, lending the device a wheel-like appearance. A circular Latin legend in uncial lettering surrounds the central motif, separated from the outer beaded border by a dotted ring. The legend invokes Conrad, King of the Romans, perpetuating the nominal imperial authority acknowledged on Genoese coinage since the medieval period. A mint-master's initial appears at the end of the reverse legend, varying by emission.
