Obverse description Within an inner reeded circle, an eagle displayed to the left with wings spread and head turned to the right, rendered in the medieval Italian hammered style. The eagle motif, emblematic of the Aquilino grosso type, occupies the central field in bold relief. A beaded inner circle frames the central device, separating it from the peripheral legend. The circumscription in Latin uncial letters reads ✠ * PADVA ✿ REGIA, invoking the royal status of Padua.
Obverse script Latin (uncial)

Reverse description A long cross pattée extends to the inner reeded circle, dividing the reverse field into four quarters and bisecting the circumscriptional legend. The terminal portion of the legend is punctuated by a small heraldic shield of Pfannberg flanked by trefoils, serving as a mark of the ruling lord Ulrich of Pfannberg. The cross pattée is rendered in the characteristic hammered style of early 14th-century Italian coinage. The inner reeded circle separates the central cross device from the outer legend. The overall composition reflects the standard grosso format prevalent in the Veneto lordships of the period.
