The figure of the leopard occupies the majority of the inner circle, with visible contours of the body and limbs despite significant surface wear and corrosion. The overall strike is typical of irregularly shaped hammered silver coins produced in the mid-fourteenth century under English feudal lordship in southwestern France. |
