Reverse description A prominent double-barred cross (Cross of Lorraine) occupies the central field, boldly struck in relief within a plain inner circle bounded by a beaded border. The two horizontal bars of the cross are clearly differentiated in length, the upper bar being shorter than the lower. A fleur-de-lis appears at the top of the outer legend margin as a stop or decorative separator. The peripheral legend in Gothic minuscule letters runs continuously between the inner and outer raised rims, separated by pellet stops.
