| Obverse description | A plain cross pattée occupies the central field, enclosed within a plain inner circle. The cross is rendered in the Gothic hammered style typical of mid-14th-century Anglo-Gascon coinage. A beaded inner border separates the central motif from the surrounding legend. The circumferential inscription in Gothic uncial lettering runs along the outer margin, invoking a Marian-style benediction alongside the royal title of Edward as King of England. |

| Reverse description | The central device depicts a turreted castle with a prominent arched gateway at its base, rendered in the heraldic style characteristic of Gascon coinage of Edward III. A leopard passant is positioned above the castle, symbolising the English royal arms as Duke of Aquitaine. The entire central composition is enclosed within a decorative border of ten stylised leaves, creating an ornate inner frame. The reverse legend in Gothic uncial script appears in the outer margin, proclaiming Edward's ducal title over Aquitaine. |
