| Descrizione del dritto | Central field features a quartered heraldic shield displaying the arms of Luxembourg and Bohemia — the dexter half bearing a crowned lion rampant (Luxembourg) and the sinister half divided quarterly with a cross (Trier/ecclesiastical arms), all within a beaded inner circle. The shield is rendered in the Gothic heraldic style typical of mid-14th-century hammered coinage. Surrounding the shield is a circular Gothic uncial legend reading '+W₀ DVX₀ ET₀ BOEM`₀ ARChP', identifying Wenceslaus I as Duke and heir to Bohemia. The overall die work is characteristic of the Trier (Trèves) mint workshop of the period. |
