| Obverse description | Central plain cross with arms extending to an inner circle, dividing the field into four quarters. The cross is surrounded by a circular inner legend reading + WALRANVS: CON., rendered in Gothic lettering. A double or beaded outer border frames the entire design, consistent with the gros tournois coinage tradition. The coin exhibits the irregular flan and variable strike quality characteristic of medieval hammered silver issues. |
