| Obverse description | Full-length frontal effigy of the Lord of Reckheim standing in the field, attired in period dress and holding an upright sword in his right hand. Across his chest he wears a heraldic band charged with three blackbirds, derived from the arms of Sombreffe. A stylized flower or rosette appears between his legs. The figure is rendered in the Gothic 'staande manneken' (standing figure) tradition typical of late medieval Low Countries groschen. The legend in uncial Latin characters runs continuously around the effigy within a beaded inner circle. |
