The overall design follows the standard gros tournois layout adapted for a seigneurial Low Countries issue, with neat pearled borders framing both legend bands. |

Surrounding the central device, a legend in uncial script names the place of minting. The outer border features a ring of twelve fleurs-de-lis interspersed between two pearled circles, closely following the reverse type of the French gros tournois from which this seigneurial imitation derives its iconographic programme. |
