Obverse description Highly stylised and abstracted derivation of an Apollo head facing right, rendered in the La Tène Celtic artistic tradition. The design features a schematised wreath with downward-pointing leaves arranged across the upper field, along with a crude profile suggesting facial features and a draped cloak indicated by curved lines. A distinctive spike-and-crescent motif appears within the design, a characteristic element of the Westerham type. The overall composition reflects the progressive abstraction of the original Macedonian stater prototype through successive Celtic die-cutting generations.

Reverse description Disarticulated horse leaping or striding to the left, rendered in the highly stylised Celtic abstract manner characteristic of British Iron Age coinage. The horse's body is broken into its component elements scattered across the field rather than depicted naturalistically. Numerous individual pellets are arranged above the horse figure, while a single pellet representing a stylised sun symbol appears in the lower field below the horse. The composition fills the flan in an asymmetric arrangement typical of the Westerham North type, derived ultimately from the reverse of Philip II of Macedon's gold stater prototype.
