Reverse description A helmeted male rider, depicted in the dynamic Celtic style, gallops on horseback to the right across the field. The rider wears a visored helmet and appears to brandish an object above his head, while a circular ring-motif is visible in the upper right field. The horse is rendered with elongated, stylised limbs and flowing mane, characteristic of Atrebatic coinage. Below the horse, between the legs, appears the letter F, forming part of the COF legend (Commios filius, meaning Son of Commios), with the remaining letters disposed in the field; subsidiary pellet and spiral ornaments fill the surrounding field.
