Obverse description Stylised, abstract head of Apollo facing right in the Celtic artistic tradition, derived from Macedonian prototypes. The wreath is rendered with a greater concentration of leaves to the right side, and a prominent hairbar presented as a single bold linear spike emanating from a ringed pellet, with three annulets disposed behind it. Three parallel lines occupy the space between the wreath and the ear crescent, the rearmost of three linear crescents, each formed with corded arcs. Additional arcs fill the field between the wreath and the crescents, enriching the abstract decorative composition.
