Obverse description Central field displays a prominent cross fleury rising from a stepped base, flanked by two pellets on either side, evoking Christian iconography adapted to the dinar format. Three horizontal lines of Kufic Arabic legend occupy the inner field below the cross, arranged within a plain inner circle. A continuous circular Arabic Kufic legend in the margin is enclosed between two beaded borders, referencing the Pope and the Trinitarian formula. The overall design closely imitates Almohad dinar typology while incorporating distinctly Christian theological content in both the imagery and the inscriptions.
