Reverse description The reverse presents an elaborate Gothic quatrefoil design at the centre, composed of four interlocking curved lobes adorned with fleurs-de-lis and trefoil floral ornaments in the spandrels, all executed in fine relief consistent with high-quality Burgundian hammered coinage. A prominent fleur-de-lis rises from the top of the central quatrefoil, serving as a focal decorative and dynastic motif. The overall composition is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding circumferential legend in Gothic uncial script reads: XPC VINCIT XPC REGNAT XPC IMPERAT, the traditional Christogram invocation affirming Christ's dominion, a formula widely used on Burgundian and Flemish gold coinage of this period. The irregular flan edge is typical of hammered production.
