| Description de l’avers | Facing enthroned effigy of the king beneath a gothic canopy, crowned and robed, holding an upright sword in the right hand, set within a beaded inner circle. The figure is rendered in the medieval Gothic style characteristic of English hammered gold coinage of the period. A continuous legend in uncial Latin letters encircles the effigy within the outer border, reading the royal titulature of Henry as king of England and France and lord of Aquitaine. The flan is irregular, as typical of hammered production, with the legend partially visible around the periphery. |

| Description du revers | An elaborately ornamented cross pattée with oakleaf-style flared terminals occupies the central field, dividing the reverse into four quarters, each containing alternating fleurs-de-lis and leopards passant (lions), the traditional heraldic emblems of France and England respectively. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with a continuous uncial Latin legend surrounding it in the outer border. The hammered flan exhibits the characteristic irregular outline of medieval Gascon gold coinage struck at Bordeaux. |
