A radiant sun device, characteristic of this issue, appears above the crown. The entire central device is enclosed within a double beaded inner circle, with the circumferential Latin legend occupying the outer margin. The hammered flan exhibits the characteristic irregular edge typical of late medieval French gold coinage. |
