| Descrizione del rovescio | A floriated cross with a central quatrefoil occupies the field, the whole enclosed within a quadrilobe frame; stylized trefoils fill the four exterior angles between the lobes. The bold cross arms radiate to the edges of the inner quadrilobe, dividing the reverse into four quadrants. The encircling legend carries the Christus Vincit invocation in Latin majuscules, a standard devotional formula widely used on medieval Low Countries coinage. The overall design is crisp and symmetrical, consistent with high-quality hammered goldwork of the late 14th century. |
