| Beschrijving voorzijde | Stylised crossed wreath derived from the classical Apollo laureate prototype, rendered in a highly abstract Celtic manner with flowing, curvilinear strands radiating outward from the centre. A prominent rose motif occupies the central field, depicted as a tightly coiled spiral surrounded by radiating petals, characteristic of the Regni artistic tradition. The entire design is executed in bold relief with fluid, organic lines typical of Late Iron Age British Celtic coinage. No inscription or legend is present. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, as is typical of hammered Celtic quarter staters of this series. |
