| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central design composed of four bold rounded leaves arranged in a cruciform pattern, formed by the intersection of two crossed wreath branches. The leaves radiate symmetrically from a central point, filling the field in a stylised Celtic decorative manner. The surrounding field is occupied by the curvilinear elements of the crossed wreaths, their terminals extending toward the coin's irregular periphery. The design is rendered in high relief with characteristic La Tène artistic abstraction, devoid of any inscription or legend. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | A schematised horse advancing to the right, depicted in the highly abstracted Celtic artistic tradition characteristic of southern British Iron Age coinage. The mane is rendered as a ladder or grid pattern of parallel lines, a distinctive feature of this type. Above the horse, a stylised solar symbol or floral motif is visible in the upper field, composed of curved and radiating elements. The overall composition fills the flan with minimal negative space, and no legend or inscription is present. The design is struck in high relief on an irregularly shaped hammered flan. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
The Atrebates occupied a territory spanning both sides of the Channel, and their coinage reflects direct contact with Gaulish traditions disrupted by Caesar's campaigns in 58–50 BC. The Winchester area hoards have produced clusters of this type, suggesting local concentration rather than wide circulation — possibly ritual deposits rather than lost pocket change.
