Beschrijving voorzijde A large, stylised fern-like or palm-leaf wreath rendered in schematic relief, its central midrib running diagonally across the flan and flanked symmetrically by radiating lateral ribs imitating fronds or foliage. The design fills virtually the entire flan in the characteristic Celtic abstract tradition derived from earlier Macedonian gold stater prototypes. No legend or inscription is present, the field being entirely occupied by the decorative vegetal motif. The die work is bold and confident, with each rib rendered as a raised ridge against a flat background.

Beschrijving keerzijde A schematically rendered horse depicted in left-facing profile, its body formed from sweeping curved lines in the Celtic abstract tradition. Above the horse's back appears a prominent large leaf or branch motif, a defining diagnostic feature of the Hurstbourne type. Pellets and other subsidiary ornamental devices are scattered about the field, typical of late Iron Age British coinage. The horse's anatomy is highly stylised, with the limbs reduced to angular geometric forms, and no legend or inscription accompanies the design.
