| Obverse description | Highly stylized and degenerate Indo-Sasanian bust facing right, rendered in low relief in the characteristic Gadhaiya tradition derived from Sasanian prototypes. The effigy is shown beneath a schematic canopy or parasol, with the facial features reduced to a series of globular pellets representing the eye and facial adornments. Flanking elements including pellets and curvilinear devices fill the field, reflecting the progressive abstraction typical of late Gadhaiya coinage. The flan is irregular in shape, struck by hand on a roughly prepared silver blank. |
